FG Secure 2512 Terrorism Convictions in Nine Years

Abuja, FCT

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that it has secured a total of 2,512 convictions in terrorism-related cases since the commencement of mass trials in 2017. The latest phase of these trials concluded recently in Abuja, with 791 convictions recorded during this 11th phase.

Officials highlighted that these convictions are part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and target collaborators involved in such activities. The trials have been a significant part of the government's strategy to address security challenges posed by terrorism in the country. The current situation reflects a continued commitment to prosecuting those involved in terrorism, with the government aiming to enhance security and public safety across Nigeria.
