Nigeria Needs Private Sector Investment To Tackle 24m Vision Loss – Minister

Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, emphasized the need for private sector investment in eye health during a Public-Private Sector Roundtable on Eye Health held in Abuja on October 6, 2026. He noted that approximately 24 million Nigerians suffer from vision loss, much of which is preventable or treatable.
