Polio: UNICEF, Zamfara move against disease

On October 28, 2026, an awareness walk was organized in Gusau, Zamfara State, by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in collaboration with the Zamfara State Ministry of Information and Culture. The event commenced at the Gusau Emir’s Palace and proceeded to Dr. Karima Primary Health Care Centre, aiming to commemorate World Polio Day and raise public awareness about polio prevention and vaccination.
