Troops Eliminate Lakurawa Terrorists In Sokoto Ambush

On October 16, 2026, troops from the Joint Task Force North West, known as Operation FANSAN YAMMA, conducted clearance operations in Sokoto State, Nigeria. During these operations, they ambushed and neutralised two terrorists, successfully recovering arms and ammunition in the process.

According to Aliyu Danja, the Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, the operations were part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region. The current situation remains under control as the military continues to monitor and respond to threats in Sokoto State, ensuring the safety of the local communities.
