Workers protest at coastal highway site in Cross River

On October 26, 2026, approximately 600 workers protested at Section 3B of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project in Calabar, Cross River State. The protest was initiated due to allegations of poor working conditions, salary cuts, intimidation, and a demand for the reinstatement of the state liaison officer.
