Yobe court sentences man to death by hanging for killing wife

On October 22, 2026, a Yobe State High Court in Damaturu sentenced 45-year-old Abubakar Musa, also known as Daddy, to death by hanging for the murder of his wife, Ammi Adamu Mamman. The incident that led to the conviction occurred on January 4, 2024, at their residence in the New Bra-Bra Estate area of Damaturu.
